Cardinal Error[edit]

Thanks for straightening that out. I thought it was odd that that it said there were only 2 cardinals, then the only two mentioned were Sin and Vidal. --Chris S. 08:11, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image license[edit]

Hi, the description page for Image:Charminar.jpg says it was created by yourself, but you didn't give it one of the allowed free licenses, such as GFDL or CC-by. Could you please choose a license and add it to the image? Otherwise it will likely be removed. Thanks! Stan 04:19, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Changed to GFDL --Wng 04:06, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Ph seal cebucity.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ph seal cebucity.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 08:30, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've targeted this for my next Featured Article attempt. You added a bit about it being the former national bird of the Philippines , complete with a reference. Could you please add the page number for the book, as it will need that to get through FAC, many thanks jimfbleak (talk) 16:01, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cebu meetup May 2009[edit]

NowCommons: File:PebbleBeach.JPG[edit]

File:PebbleBeach.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Lodge at Pebble Beach.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Lodge at Pebble Beach.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 07:34, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of ZIP codes in the Philippines. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of ZIP codes in the Philippines. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pittsburgh event for Wikipedia's tenth anniversary[edit]

Hi! Since you have a connection to Pittsburgh, I wanted to invite you to the Wikipedia Tenth Anniversary celebrations we're having in Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 15. During the daytime, we're going to be having a photo contribution drive where anyone can bring in their digital photos or prints and Wikipedians will teach people how to upload them and add them to articles, and maybe introduction to Wikipedia workshops as well. Then in the evening, we'll have fun at the Carson City Saloon. There will be free Wikipedia t-shirts and other goodies, as well. See the Pittsburgh meetup page for more details. I hope to see you there!--ragesoss (talk) 15:58, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Teaching with Wikipedia Workshop at CMU (Aug 15)[edit]

Since you are one of the editors in the Category:Wikipedians by alma mater: Carnegie Mellon University, I'd like to invite you to the Teaching with Wikipedia Workshop that will take place at CMU on Aug 15 (this workshop is open to general public, and is a joint imitative of CMU and Pitt). There will be another workshop held at Pitt in the Fall as well. It will cover how to include Wikipedia in one's course (WP:SUP) and also how to become a Wikipedia:Campus Ambassadors. Pennsylvania has currently only one ambassador (myself) and it would be great if we could recruit at least several more. Ambassadors help course instructors, showing them how Wikipedia works, and interact with students. Many current ambassadors come from the body of students, faculty and university staff; it is a fun adventure, and adds to one resume/CV, to boot :) If it sounds interesting, feel free to ask me any questions, or to come to the workshop.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:21, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Ocean Beach SF.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused, low-res, no obvious use. Better files at c:Category:Ocean Beach, San Francisco.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 04:12, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
