Looking for information on my,My Grandfather was Joseph Henry Raby[edit]

Please any Raby or known associate I'm interested in finding out more about my heritage. Unfortunately, this kind of question falls outside our mandate as an encyclopedia. You want a genealogy website, such as familysearch.org (free) or Ancestry.com (subscription, but with some free content). My advice is to write down all of the facts that people in your family can remember about people's names, dates and places of birth, marriage, death, etc., and then see what you can find. The West Virginia State Archives has some of the material you could find at county courthouses online. Some newspapers are also available online, and some of them are searchable, especially for obituaries, which often have the kind of information you're looking for.
Wikipedia can tell you about cities, towns, and villages, counties and townships, states and regions. It can tell you about the places where your ancestors lived, and the events that occurred during their lives, and which they might have been involved with.
