Poor title?[edit]

Given that this article is about a theory by Montessori, perhaps the title should be changed to reflect that. If it is not intended to be on Montessori's views only, it should be expanded to included the views of other researchers and scholars. Tpylkkö (talk) 08:16, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Redirected[edit]

I have redirected this page to critical period, with which this topic appears to be virtually identical (the main reference work used appears to treat "critical/sensitive periods" as near-synonymous, according to its title), and of which the page constituted little more than a POV fork (to the extent that Montessori pedagogy maintains a theory of such periods that differs significantly from other, mainstream theories covering the same issue). I only skimmed over its contents though, and found that in particular the section about language acquisition was woefully inadequate. There also was a totally disproportionate "background" section about the biography of Maria Montessori; no idea how anybody could ever have thought that belonged here.
