Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Homestar Runner (character)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Delete/Merge:

merge with Homestar Runner this is a redundant entry. Alkivar 04:08, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC) Wikipedia:Extreme_article_deletion <-- now the joke is clear.

Maybe make a disambiguation page instead? Simon 02:42, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)

Keep:

The page is actually not redundant because the Homestar Runner page is actually about the cartoon series in general, not about Homestar Runner himself. Therefore the Homestar Runner (character) page is perfectly fine and appropriate how it is. Martinman11 03:34, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Update: Obviously, there is alot of people voicing that we should keep this page so methinks that we should end this discussion, unless there is something that I don't know about that says we have to have a certain number of votes to 'Keep' or 'Delete' Hoekenheef 00:42, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC) (BTW, I am Martinman11. Hoekenheef is my nickname.)

Update: 1. Soooo....this whole thing is a joke and doesn't need to be going on? 2. That's exteremly stupid and not funny.

I agree with MartinMan11. --131.215.242.161 20:10, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

As an avid HSR fan, I vehemently oppose this move. "Homestar Runner" is the name of the cartoon, so Homestar Runner should be the title of the page about the cartoon. This page should be about the character named Homestar Runner. To move the HSR character page into the HSR cartoon page is similar to saying "we should move Homer Simpson into the page on The Simpsons".

In other words, keep. -- The KoG | (talk) 16:42, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)

A remarkably bad idea. All the major HSR characters have their own page; merging just Homestar makes no sense, and merging all of them would make the main HSR page too long.

'Keep' Thephotoman 07:12, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC) This has to be the most bizarre entry seen on the votes for deletion page. Every other character from the series has a character page. Just because Homestar is the eponymn doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a page to go into his character more in depth than would be reasonable on a page for the entire series.

  • Keep. Cause you're joking, right? anthony 警告 02:26, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Agree with above reasons as to why this isn't redundant. Postdlf 02:27, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)
