Hi Claire, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for taking the interest. We hope you will stick around and add to the collective effort that is going on here. There is a Sandbox for you to practive editing in, and the Help pages will tell you lots of useful things. You might also like to look at the Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines pages which will tell you a lot about the way things are usually done on Wikipedia.

One of the things that is not done on Wikipedia is creating articles about yourself. See Wikipedia:Don't create articles about yourself. It's much better to wait for someone else to do it.
