My first Wiki contribution! Hope I did OK. Let me know if I missed the mark in anything. Thanks! wiegee

Saddle Island link[edit]

I don't think the Saddle Island link goes to the right place. Saddle Island points to an island quite far north in Labrador, far from Red Bay.

The Wikipedia link attribute has been removed. When an article does get created for one or both of these islands then a link can be established. HJKeats (talk) 14:53, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Original name “Buttes”[edit]

I have a link to Selma Barkham’s research that says the original Basque name for the operations at Red Bay was “Buttes,” and not Whale Bay as described in the article. As there is no citation for the latter, I am tempted to overwrite. My link is here: Fish Into Wine: The Newfoundland Plantation in the Seventeenth Century Pope, Peter Edward. 2004. p251–252. — Muckapedia (talk) 5e fév. 2014 14h22 (−4h)

Which museum?[edit]

The caption of one photo says "A Basque chalupa recovered from the waters of the bay and on display in the museum." It's not clear which museum is meant. 69.161.125.36 (talk) 18:36, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
