Re: Jacques Martin (cartoonist) and Edgar Pierre Jacobs a stub message and a link to a French article do not constitute an article and it has been deleted. Could you please ensure there is something mnore substantial there when you recreate it. many thanks. -- Graham  :) | Talk 19:12, 10 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Could you undelete the pages Jacques Martin (cartoonist) and Edgar Pierre Jacobs, I was in the process of translaing them from the french version. I know there is template that says that the page is "locked" for modification, but I had no time to look at it. I've planned to put something in the day for these pages !Lvr 07:58, 11 Jun 2004 (UTC) (Thanks !)
I will undelete them but I will transfer this conversation to the article talk pages. The tag you are looking for is {{inuse}} though this is only really valid for the same day after being added to the article, we can't keep the message up for days on end. Can you please ensure in future that you add at least some minimal content about the subject matter before adding the stub message or links to other pedias. Thanks. -- Graham  :) | Talk 23:43, 11 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Requested move[edit]

Suggesting that (cartoonist) is wrong per the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (comics) guideline, (and the article subject is not a single panel cartoonist, nor a cartoon animator but a comics artist, so this article ought to fall in line with all the others using (comics).. Thoughts for arriving at a consensus? MURGH disc. 00:14, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I totally agree. I was a freshman at the time I created this page ;-) The "(Comics)" is far better. I don't think we need a big discussion about that. Lvr 15:37, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good. This particular type of move proposal hasn't met any opposition that I'm aware of, but going by the book, I'll wait a day or two more before completing it. MURGH disc. 16:04, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
..and the move is completed. MURGH disc. 19:34, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography section[edit]

Today a long-time editor tried to add a new Bibliography section this article without citing a single reference. Obviously, this editor tried to add their own original research without any regard for verifiabilty, one of the most important policies of our encyclopedia. Come on. You've been around long enough to know better; don't ever do that again. This looks like valuable information, so please research it in reliable sources and re-add it, and this time cite it properly. —Prhartcom 14:22, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Since when do bibliography sections need references? This isn't the case for any other author page I've visited... Happy Evil Dude (talk) 22:30, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
