This page read a bit too much like a press release, IMO.

I think we can take this off of Wikipedia:Pages needing attention -- it's not great, but I don't think it's in dire need of attention. Darkcore 04:29, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)
It's improved over when it was placed. Spinboy 06:19, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

OR[edit]

Relocated from the main article: "The information on this media page was removed by the IP 137.149.138.57, which resolves to "KPC07.stu-kelley.upei.ca" which also happens to be the main administration building at UPEI. It was re-entered on Feb. 2, 2007."

Original research is not allowed on Wikipedia. Everything on the site should be referenced to another published source, or reputable web source, or citable. -- Zanimum 14:05, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that an additional reference be added to the entry, "Student Life / Activities," which mentions the attempt by the student paper to publish the controversial Muslim cartoons. Primary documents arising from the controversy that ensued have been posted at http://dontaxe.blogspot.com/ . Farahday 22:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC) Farahday[reply]

A blog isn't a reputable source. GreenJoe 22:17, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

true - although this particular "blog" merely reproduces primary documents, and includes links to the original sources. Perhaps the original websites of the documents themselves might be added to the reference section on Wikipedia: for example, http://www.upei.ca/president/html/the_cartoon_controversy_and_th.html and http://www.safs.ca/april2006.html. Cadre staff[edit]

Inaccurate reference was removed. See the actual proposal for more information: http://weblogs.upei.ca/files/Cadre%20and%20ISM%202007-2008.pdf --Adamfreeland 03:17, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Even if the CBC report is inaccurate, the CBC is a "reliable source" and reference to the CBC story dated March 22 should not be removed. When I have the time I'll follow the procedure for "dispute resolution" as explained at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Dispute_resolution

By the way, the new entry on "The Cadre" violates a number of Wikipedia rules. I'm sure it will be heavily edited. Farahday 06:28, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, which rules? --Adamfreeland 13:48, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CBC is a reliable source, Blogs are not. GreenJoe 19:02, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
