Euston, London[edit]

There should be an article on the London district often known as Euston, encompassing the area around Euston station. I'm not sure of the origin of the name - it may be a back-formation from the station, cf. Waterloo and Farringdon - and it's hard to give precise boundaries other than Euston Road and Eversholt Street, but the area certainly exists and is distinct from Camden Town, Somers Town and Bloomsbury. I don't know of any other name for this area. Lfh (talk) 18:10, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've created a new page Euston, London which redirects to Euston Road in the absence of an existing article. I've also added a hatnote to the Euston Road article explaining the redirect and linking to Euston railway station and Euston (disambiguation) (ie back to this disambiguation page). Some day, the redirect could be replaced by an standalone article about the locality. — Richardguk (talk) 03:49, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Origin of name[edit]

Does anyone know just what the origin of the name is? Timrollpickering 19:44, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
