Anyone think this page is too cluttered? I certainly do. A picture of the river and a map are good, but more than that is unneccessary for such a short article. I'm taking off two of the pictures. If you disagree, reply here with a reason. -Oatmeal batman 15:11, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question: the page currently gives the etymology of "Lech" as related to the Latin "licus," or "permitted/lawful." I found an alternate suggestion at http://www.etymonline.com/ which says it means "low" or "lowlands." this would seem to be a better match, i.e. "low river" and hence "low valley" for Lechtaler.
