Excuse me, can you please tell me how I violated the copyright of that website? I did not even get the information there, first of all, and secondly, the Borderline Personality Disorder page cites the DSM in the exact same way. I gave credit to the book.

FWIW I got the information here http://www.myborderlinelife.co.uk/BPD_infopages/ICD10_diagnosis.htm and that user said I could use her site.

I also don't see how that article (stub) violates copyright. The information is taken directly from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), it appears. These words appear on thousands of websites. Slim

It is actually from the ICD-10, which is the international version of the DSM. But same difference - the ICD-10 criteria appear on thousands of sites as well. So what do I do now? (Fairly new) Wait for the article to be restored? Kat 08:38, Nov 28, 2004 (UTC)

Hi Kat, I saw this come up on the recent changes list, which is why I looked at the page in the first place. I've reverted it to your previous version, because we've left notes on this page, and the person who removed your material hasn't responded, so you can go ahead. The ICD-10 is not simply the international version of the DSM. As can be seen from the criteria here, ICD-10 uses a "general" criteria for personality disorders which have to be satisfied in addition to the specific criteria for each personality disorder. DSM-IV-TR does not do it this way, mostly because the DSM-IV is specifically made for mental/behavioral disorders, unlike ICD-10 which is for all diseases, injuries, disorders, or medical conditions. Specifically, this allows the DSM-IV to use the 5-axis system, which seperates personality disorders on to Axis-II, so there's no need to seperate them further.

I've gone ahead and merged the ICD-10 criteria onto the page for Borderline Personality Disorder. Unless there's anything the needs to be corrected or added, or if there's a strong argument to merge the other way, I'm going to nominate this page on AfD in a couple of days. siafu 04:14, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
