T.N.T.S.?[edit]

The vocal credit for the title song says "Lead vocals by Don Henley and T.N.T.S.". Who or what is T.N.T.S.? - Ugliness Man 19:45, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dusted off my old vinyl copy of this album and scrutinized the credits. The cover designer made some odd punctuation choices which has probably caused some confusion:

Lead vocals; Don Henley, T.N.T.S.; Coach, Claps; The Clapetts

By crosschecking with the credits listed for a couple of the other tracks, it appears that the lead vocals for the title track are actually credited only to Henley. On that track, "T.N.T.S." is credited to someone named "Coach," and "claps" are credited to "The Clapetts." I was unable to find any reference that explains these additional credits. -- Engineer Bob 00:18, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do not have a source for this but I have heard/read Eagles refer to Irving Azoff their manager as 'coach' Leighjackson 22:58, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Track Information: "On The Border"[edit]

I don't have access to this album, but if there's a whispered "Good night, Dick" on the record, it's a riff on the trademark sign-off of Dan Rowan and Dick Martin, on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, not the Smothers Brothers. And while it clearly would have been a reference to Nixon, it couldn't have alluded to his resignation, since the album was issued in March 1974 and Nixon didn't resign until August of that year.
