Mrs Cameron vs Swampy[edit]

In a 2007 video of David Cameron, now UK Prime Minister, taken in Blackpool at the Conservative Party Conference, he states that his mum prosecuted Swampy. See YouTube: Mrs Cameron vs Swampy AndrewRH (talk) 21:13, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

IMO this should be included in the article Jonpatterns (talk) 18:53, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dual Carriage / Motorway[edit]

A rather anal point, I admit, but the A30 is not a motorway. Only roads with 'M' classifications are motorways, and there are several important differences between 'A' and 'M' roads. An 'M' road (i.e. a motorway) must have at least two carriageways in each direction, a hard shoulder (i.e. an extra carriageway which is not used except in emergencies) and no roundabouts or sharp bends. The only main similarity between a dual carriageway 'A' road and a motorway is that the normal speed limit is 70mph. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.26.117.108 (talkcontribs) 23:18, 21 March 2005

Seriously, if anyone is reading the above thinking of making a comment at a similar level - don't - just change it, no-one will revert you. This project would never have got to where it was discussing things like this, just take action and be bold if it seems obvious and reasonable. Halsteadk (talk) 19:37, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Neutral Language[edit]

07 - Mar - 2006 Surely the last paragraph in the article needs editing or deletion. It appears to be a highly subjective viewpoint of on particular incident, almost completely unrelated to the person to whom the article relates. the use of language such as 'invaded' and 'provoked' is not proper to this article. Additionally, to label this sort of protestor as an environmental 'extremist' is not a widely held viewpoint, and is probably representative of the authors personal prejudice.

I would of thought spending a week underground to stop someone building a road was quite an extreme act.195.172.215.82 09:56, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would guess that he most certainly is regarded as an environmental extremist. Rustygecko (talk) 03:36, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

2006 sunday mirror story[edit]

I've just removed the following link from the external links section -

because the story has apparently been moved or removed and that link just redirects to the site front page. I've only spent a couple of minutes looking for it, but I've moved it here in case anyone else wants to see if they have more success. Thryduulf (talk) 23:57, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It may be worth trying the 'Wayback Machine' archive http://archive.org/web/ Jonpatterns (talk) 18:51, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SwampySwampy (environmental activist) – Too many of the links were intended for Swamp; that is probably the primary topic. Peter James (talk) 16:35, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
