Hi Pall,
I am not sure about this part that says "backward" in "Their harsh lifestyle produced courageous individualists, but also a backward people, whose only source of knowledge was often the Bible." I also think some mention of the Anglo-Zulu War, how South West Africa fell in South Africa's hands and the bush war that was fought there first with the help of the American CIA and later alone, is needed.
Sometime in the future I must write something about the weeks leading up to the 1994 elections because we came so close to full scale civil war. If I remember correctly a bloodbath was deverted only two days before the polls were opened. It is something the world tends to forget.--Jcw69 10:29, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Much as I support the work on this History page, I have to ask why it is being worked upon here and not on the target page, History of South Africa. I see a huge diff being sprung on the community, with a fait accompli standing little chance of reversion or fixups. Please do the move sooner rather than later. Any recent changes to the target page will be lost in the huge diff.
- I'm attempting to completely rewrite the article to deal with the fairly shaky organisation of the current version. I would appreciate all assistance you can offer with edits to my interim version before I post it on the History of South Africa article.

- Actually, that's not quite correct. I have messaged nearly everyone who has edited History of South Africa in the past five months asking them to come and take a look at this. I am editing it here so that I can still look at the information on History of South Africa and continue to add it here, before I move this to History of South Africa. So far none of the other contributors has had an issue, and I take offence at your use of the world deliberately. Páll 21:10, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
