Austin Powers[edit]

Did anyone notice the Ketchup Song has the same dance as that performed by Doctor Evil in International Man of Mystery. Hand and foot movements match those of the Ketchup Song. Seems like a link there. I have tagged this article for cleanup.

the article doesn't distinguish between the Spanish ("Aserejé") and English versions; for example the description of the song's "plot" refers to the Spanish version
the article claims that the chorus "Aserejé ja de jé de jebe" is a transliteration of the chorus of "Rapper's Delight" ("I said a hip hop the hippie the hippie") although this is patently untrue (e. g. because there is phonetic equivalent for "hip hop")

Original research[edit]

No references, so I'm removing this dubious original research:

...which happens to be the [[1979 in music|1979]] rap hit "[[Rapper's Delight]]" by [[Sugarhill Gang]]. The first verse of Rapper's Delight: "I say the hip hop, the hippie...", pronounced phonetically in Spanish the way it would sound to someone who does not understand English, becomes the chorus of The Ketchup Song. Although technically meaningless and sometimes referred to as gibberish, the chorus is a more-or-less phonetic pronunciation of the first verse almost in its entirety.{{Citation needed|date=November 2008}} The song has a very fast [[tempo]] of 185 beats per minute.
