Dragon Ball was NEVER released Uncensored![edit]

Why does it say that dragon ball was released in Censored and Uncensored forms? Viz has NEVER released the entire manga 100% Uncensored! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.64.183.93 (talk) 16:23, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't say it was released in its entirety, it says it was released in both formats. According to a reliable source, the company did re-release DB in an uncensored form. Do you have a reliable source that says otherwise? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 16:33, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"According to a reliable source, the company did re-release DB in an uncensored form." That line should be removed entirely unless a link to this "source" can be provided.

Also, the line stating that in 2009 Viz is opening a 3 story store/theatre should be edited. If the place is up and running, then it would be nice to offer readers more detail on it. If not, then delete it. 2009 is almost over. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.217.117.108 (talk) 01:09, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This topic, I believe, is referring to how a character, Mr. Popo, who has been perceived as a blackface stereotype, has his lips modified to look smaller ALSO in the 'UNCENSORED' version. Everytime the character appears, whether the volume is marked as uncensored or not, this modification occurs. daizex.com has a feature on this in the 'Ask Daizenshuu EX' section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Huskydreams (talkcontribs) 18:42, 27 November 2011 (UTC) The Uncut Manga Uses Literal Translations Of The Japanese Text. The Censored Version Has More Kid Friendly Text. Digital releases[edit]

I think it should be mentioned that this is releasing their titles digitally and that they also formed a partnership with ComiXology in releasing their titles as well. Here are a few official links. VIZ MANGA, Viz Digital Comics. 73.190.124.47 (talk) 17:11, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Source for FujoCon and the SuBLime and Animate partnership ending[edit]

"During FujoCon in July 2020, Viz Media stated that SuBLime had only been partnered with Animate for the first three years after the imprint's initial launch and are currently not partnered with them."[citation needed]

I did the research and the panel in which Viz stated this happened through Discord, a platform that does not make records publicly viewable (so if they even kept a recording at all, you would have to be part of the FujoCon Discord server to view it), and the FujoCon YouTube channel does not have a recording of the panel available. I was unable to find any other reliable sources for the end of the partnership between SuBLime and Animate, so I'm removing the statement, but if anyone ever finds a reliable source, feel free to add it back in!
