I disagree with the following paragraph:

The third collection belongs with the sixth, Fables and Reflections and the eighth, Worlds' End. All three are not primarily single coherent storylines that contribute to the series' main story arc, but sets of disparate, self-contained issues which belong with the main series by virtue of the shared characters.

I would argue that The Sandman has no main story arc, since the Dreaming (and by consequence, Dream himself) are just devices to tell whatever story Gaiman had in his head at the time, much like the Guide in Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy However, those that believe there is a main story arc usually say that the main story arc is the one involving Orpheus' death at the hand of Morpheus, the "death" of Daniel and Lyta Hall's vengeance on Dream as the Kindly Ones. If this is indeed the main story arc referred to, then I would argue that both Fables and Reflections and World's End do indeed contribute to the series' main story arc. Without consulting the collections in question, I can tell you that "Three Septembers and a January" from Fables and Reflections includes a panel where Desire threatens to "bring the Kindly Ones down on Dream's blasted head." The entirety of Worlds' End is based around a reality storm, which, if you refer to the collection The Kindly Ones you will see that the reality storm is felt as a consequence of the conflicting destinies created by the indeterminate outcome of Dream's conflict with the Dirae. --Misfit 20:50, 8 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Isn't Robin Goodfellow a Puck instead of a Hobgoblin?

No. Puck, the character from Midsummer Night's Dream, is also called Robin Goodfellow. He's not "a Puck". --Pentasyllabic 16:09, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
