Threatening letter[edit]

From the article:

"The name change to Usenix was in reaction to a threatening letter from Western Electric."

This needs to be explained or left out. Anyone? --Gosub 13:11, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mike Jones[edit]

I named Mike Jones differently in the 2002-2004 section vs. 2004-2006 section because that's how he's named on the USENIX website (i.e., differently for the two terms). TreyHarris 01:36, 25 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Technical Association or Systems Association[edit]

This articled defines USENIX as the 'Advanced Computing Technical Association' however under the masthead the fine print reads 'Advanced Computing Systems Association'. Which is correct here?

Identifying names in the photo option[edit]

I saw the caption asking for names. Well the most obvious person is Dennis Ritchie standing in the center with glasses. This is the summer'84 meeting at Salt Lake City, UT (hence the snow and summer). Not all speakers, I wasn't there (off hiking), and I ran a BOF (Dennis was there) and gave a last minute talk at the request of Jay (and Spencer) on high speed networking. 198.123.49.110 (talk) 18:24, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

SIGs[edit]

Is there a list of past and current SIGs? It seems there is no information about them even on the official web site. Or do SIGs equal to their Conferences? I think since SIGs are mentioned in the article (and hardly ever on the official site), this info would be useful here. --C. 11:41, 3 August 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.174.13.198 (talk)
