NPOV[edit]

Concorde[edit]

I removed However, following the Paris crash of the Concorde Airliner on July 25, 2000 they proved impossible to sell. In the end, they were sold (at a discount) on the corporate fleet market in Ireland^{[citation needed]}. this statement is true, but cannot be referenced, hence could be termed original research, I have therefore commented it out - ClemMcGann 00:44, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Some of the information in this article is a bit flawed. The 2.0 16v was definitely available in the phase 2 (both the Volvo and Later Renault engines, both rated at 140ps.) Although there was a 2.0 16v in the first generation, only the Volvo engine was used at that time. The 2.2dT in the second generation was the same as that in the first and did not feature direct injection, so the '2.2 dTi' described in the 1b section doesn't actually exist. 2.0 8v engines are not described in the 1b section, despite the fact that these engines persisted to the end of the Laguna 1's production in auto models, and the 2.0 8v was available for at least some period after the facelift with a manual transmission. Additionally, no 1.6 16v engine was in a pre-facelift Laguna 1, and likewise the 24v v6 was available following the 1b facelift in 1998. As I've said, these views are speculation, and may not be correct so if anybody can take the time to verify these facts and amend the article accordingly, that'd probably be good. 81.157.137.28 (talk) 23:09, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reliability Laguna II Phase I & table use[edit]

Guys and girls,

Could someone explain to me why there isn't a part that covers the reliability of this type of Laguna? I'd say this is a pretty essential part to discuss since the Laguna II phase I was pretty badly constructed (yet I still drive one...), and only from 2004 onwards Renault have improved upon this.
Also check the S-class (W220) wiki, where they've added a piece of text which discusses the points of interest for used models. Perhaps it's possible to do something similar on this wiki?
Also, can someone who's handy with the table thing put the enginevalues in a decent table? I've tried to but I can't get it to work properly.

Also the 3.0 V6 dCi and 3.5 V6 that are used in the Laguna III Coupé are not new engines. Both of these engines were already used in Nissan models (most notably the PathFinder and Murano in Europe).Fleppen (talk) 13:35, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Right, so if I use the ADAC, ANWB or whatever to support those claims, it can be used? I'll look into those statistics. Possible Speed Control Problem[edit]

This falls into the coverage of breaking news, but since it will affect vehicle safety and purchase decisions, I wonder if readers of this article should be made aware of this 13 Feb 2013 news item:

"Frank Lecerf, from his home in Pont-de-Metz, near the French city of Amiens, was making his weekly trip to the grocery store in his Renault Laguna. He was going 60 miles an hour when the car's speed dial jammed. Lecerf tried to brake. Instead of slowing, though, the car sped up -- with each tap on the brake leading to more acceleration. Eventually, the car reached a speed of 125 mph -- and then remained stuck there. For an hour."

Wrong Picture caption?[edit]

Does the Picture called "1994–1998 Renault Laguna wagon" show a pre- or post Facelift model. There seem to be no difference to the "Facelifted Renault Laguna I wagon" shown below. There are differences.

The rear bumper is different, there is a new plastic part at the lower part of the trunk door and the rear lights got bright red instead of tinted grey.
