Proposed merge of Board book into Children's literature[edit]

The result of this discussion was not to split based on my understanding of WP:SIZERULE, which wasn't contested by any other editor. Dan Bloch (talk) 19:49, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

At more than 150kB, this article is too long, according to WP:SIZERULE, and should be split. I'd suggest lifting out the "Literary Criticism" section to make a new article, while writing a brief summary with a "Main" hatnote for here. Suggested title of the new article: Social issues in children's literature.

Other possible new articles would be on British children's literature and American children's literature, both overrepresented in this article's National traditions section. --- Robina Fox (talk) 21:30, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you're interested in making an article on American children's literature, you could consider, for a start, translating this article from the German Wikipedia: Amerikanische Kinder- und Jugendliteratur. Why No Edith Nesbit?[edit]

Now, of course I realize that there are thousands, and even MILLIONS, of works of children's literature Out There, and that it would be quite impossible to list them all. But, even so -- and having said that -- how on Earth do you have an article on Children's Literature, and never mention the name of Edith Nesbit so much as ONCE???
