Is this a good redirect to Surgeon General of the United States, or are there other usages of the term "Surgeon General"? RickK 03:08, 16 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Some states have their own surgeons general (e.g. [1]); some armed services have their own surgeons general (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force). I don't know if it's used at all in nations other than the U.S. - Nunh-huh 03:21, 16 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
Then this should probably be a disambiguation page. RickK 20:55, 16 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

first surgeon general?[edit]

Was the first surgeon general of the USA Benjamin_Rush? The "father" of psychiatry? If so, maybe include this in this article? Michael Ten (talk) 06:31, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If correct, that would be applicable to Surgeon General of the United States, not this article. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:32, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
