I have moved the original "May 17 Declaration" to "May 17 Statement". It seems that even the official Taiwan Affairs Office does not call the text a "declaration" [1]. Moreover, it appears that many such statements have been issued in the past. So one must wonder whether this particular one deserves a specific article. Certainly in its current state it ought to mention any official Taiwanese response to be considered NPOV A-giau 15:33, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Took out the 'refused' part as it does not seem NPOV ish. User:wenzi
