Fula.[edit]

The Fula example, while interesting, is misleading in the context in which it is presented, since Fula, while a Niger-Congo language, belongs to the Atlantic languages group, not to the Bantu languages.

Yep, you're right. I'm pulling it out for now, because it really should be verified whether and where Meinhof does talk about Fula. If preserved, it could be in the following form:
Meinhof also noted that West-African Fula, a far relative of the Bantu languages, has a noun class reserved for liquids.
