Roster[edit]

I tweeked the roster a bit. Wabash had 15 units, not 13. Pennsylvania's last unit was 2558, not 2559. The Burlington's six units were left off the roster and were added. The revised roster now reflects 478 units, this is correct as the two XP-24 Demonstrators were never sold. GE Demonstrators #753-756 went to the Frisco as their #804-807. GE #2501-2504 were sold to the UP as their #633, 635, 634, and 636. Three NYC U25Bs were rated at 2750 horsepower for test purposes in 1965.--SSW9389 22:35, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

New Haven #2525 is at the Railroad Museum of New England in Waterbury, CT. --SSW9389 23:02, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Milwaukee #5057 is at the Portola Railroad Museum in California. Believe this one was used at Western Nebraska University as a training aid until its donation to Portola. --SSW9389 23:08, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There is NYC #2510 parked in the weeds south of Albany, New York at the Glenmount Power Station. --SSW9389 23:08, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

L&N #1616 is at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga and may have recently been sold. The unit has no main generator in her as she gave it up for a D-L C425.

NYC #2500 is sitting in North East, PA at the Lake Shore Railway Museum. and is basically fully restored (with the exception of being operable).

Milwaukee #5056 is at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. It is being restored to operating condition. Additional preservation data from Railroad.net GE Forum --SSW9389 11:33, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Retirement date[edit]

CSX's ex L&N 1616 was retired in 1989, the end of operation for the model besides perhaps a few EMD rengined examples. Going to edit the article to correct it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.71.220.47 (talk) 00:00, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There was no GE demo #55.[edit]

Friso #811 was built for the road in July 1963 in an order that included #808-#810, batch #1439 with a builder's number of 34563. She wasn't a member of batch #1364, which were GE demos #51-#54 that were later sold to Friso. Furthermore, she was built 8 months after the last batch of builder demonstrators were outshopped in December 1962. 2603:7081:C02:5700:E164:9746:B2EE:9C8F (talk) 11:11, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
