Episode Order/Dates[edit]

I think that the episode order/dates must be wrong.

The Evergreen standard is set up in 'Opportunity knock', so it should come before 'The Evergreen Grand Prix' in which the paper has already been establishd.

No, because Ralph is shown surprised to read the news in an _already complete_ newspaper. He's the editor of the Evergreen Standard, so he would've already seen the news before going to print. It's clear that he's just reading some other newspaper. The newspaper is used much like in "the Christmas Raccoons"-- Ralph finds about Cyril's plot by reading it. -Drawah64

Drawah64 (Jan 1 2007)[edit]

I made quite a few minor changes, such as fixing grammar, adding some main character information, added the "Other Characters" sub-section, etc. but I forgot to sign in first, lol.

Theme[edit]

The MP3 I've got may be from the opening theme, because it has Syril Sneer and sound effects all over it. It's sung by a man; according to the IMDB, it's Stephen Lunt.

-- JaffaCakeLover 18:27, 28 January 2007 (GMT) Actually that's the version of "Run With Us" from the first episode.

Who is it that keeps editing the summary of "Mom's the Word" to say homestead instead of home? It doesn't make any sense, at least not according to the episode. All the mother pig says is that their house got destroyed, she doesn't ever use the word "homestead". Could you stop, please?

Episodes[edit]

I just moved the episodes listing into a template to make it a little tidier than it was before. I've not added anything to the listing but I have suggested it be moved to its own page because it seems rather large. Any objections?--Thetriangleguy 20:47, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Currently Airing???[edit]

This show is currently airing in Spanish on the Univision Channel, not sure if its everywhere or just in syndication. I am in Austin, TX by the way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.155.111.55 (talk) 11:37, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They also show it on Boomerang in South Africa at the moment. I don't know in which other countries it is shown. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.54.202.102 (talk) 11:48, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And on Boomerang in Poland. At 17:30 CET. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.18.175.237 (talk) 13:52, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Character Pages??[edit]

Is it really necessary for some characters to have their own pages? For example, Ralph and Melissa have their own pages, yet Bert and other important characters do not. Similarly, is there a reason why minor characters like Simon Sneer and Troy Malone have their own pages? They only have one important role each.

Personally, I feel that all character pages should be deleted and the character paragraphs on the main article should be expanded. If not, the information on the main character's pages should be improved and the others deleted.

Current edit war[edit]

I don't understand what's going on in edits like this and the ones that lead to it. The grammar is challenged: "Primary source references are necessary to verify this info when you keep changing the info to be incorrect"--if incorrect information is added then primary source references won't help. But worse, whatever "references" are given aren't really references, and you all can keep doing this until kingdom comes or someone brings in some secondary references, whichever comes first. The recent edit history looks like a joke, with three registered accounts and an IP constantly reverting each other and calling each others' edits vandalism. I think that if you all can't grow up and talk this out like adults I will fully protect this, and/or add this to WP:LAME. Drmies (talk) 03:46, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Primary source references in this case will help because they are the show's end credits (I think the right phrase to use here is primary source). If you watch any season 1 episode's end credits you'll see that it says "Animation Facility: Atkinson Film-Arts." As well, if you watch any season 2-5 episode's end credits you'll see that it says "Produced at Hinton Animation Studios Inc." I would link to the show's end credits in the reference, but that would violate WP:Copyright violations. The reference says where the info is in the show, in this case the end credits. Anyone who watches the show's end credits can then verify the info. Powergate92Talk 04:15, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As for the other parts of this edit war, the IP hoping user (who I believe is Maxsonazeas not logged in as their edits and edit summaries are similar and in some cases the same) is changing facts about the show to be incorrect. The correct facts can be verified by anyone who watches the show. These edits by the IP hoping user and Maxsonazeas are "sneaky vandalism" per WP:Vandalism#Sneaky vandalism, which says "Vandalism that is harder to spot, or that otherwise circumvents detection, including adding plausible misinformation to articles (such as minor alteration of facts or additions of plausible-sounding hoaxes), hiding vandalism (such as by making two bad edits and only reverting one), simultaneously using multiple accounts or IP addresses to vandalize, abuse of maintenance and deletion templates, or reverting legitimate edits with the intent of hindering the improvement of pages. Impersonating other users by signing an edit with a different username or IP address also constitutes sneaky vandalism, but take care not to confuse this with appropriately correcting an unsigned edit made by another user. Some vandals even follow their vandalism with an edit that states "rv vandalism" in the edit summary in order to give the appearance the vandalism was reverted." As for secondary sources, I have been searching for secondary sources but, because how old this show is, have not been able to find many. Powergate92Talk 04:43, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New Raccoons series[edit]

I came across this article - http://blog.truffleshuffle.co.uk/index.php/2017/07/the-raccoons-turn-32-stay-tuned-for-a-new-look-return/ Is this of any importance? ChipmunkRaccoon (talk) 02:34, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fix page[edit]

Attempted to fix some vandalism on the page. I ended up making it look worse. I'm new to editing so I probably should've left this to someone else. 2605:E000:7E4C:2100:501A:570E:C50A:5B77 (talk) 01:30, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No new DVD release of The Raccoons in the United States and Canada? But I thought those the Raccoons DVD releases were released in Europe! Maybe Mill Creek Entertainment and WildBrain will remaster, restore, and enhance The Raccoons TV specials (1980-1984) and original TV series (1985-1991) and they will may be disturbed by Nelvana, (but credited only in specials), WildBrain, 20th Century Fox (now 20th Century Studios) (specials 1-4 only), 20th Century Fox Television (seasons 1-5 only), Family Home Entertainment (special 4 only), and Walt Disney Television (seasons 1-5 only), and make it into another DVD in Region 1 (U.S. and Canada only). Transitions will be added. This DVD will be called "The Raccoons: The Complete Original Series" and will include extras. Even the remastered version of Lisa Lougheed's "Run With Us" music video! Like their previous complete series sets, the language tracks will be English, French, German, Russian, Finnish, and Japanese.

Relationship between Bentley and Bert[edit]

The article states that Bentley is Bert's cousin, but was later retconned to be his nephew. Thes makes no sense since it would make any romantic relationship between Bert and Lisa (which is clearly what Bert wanted from the start) incestuous. 2.100.92.173 (talk) 20:41, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Actually no it doesn't - it says that Bentley is Ralph's cousin, not Bert's. (Bentley is later revealed to be the son of George Raccoon, Ralph's older brother, making him Ralph's nephew.) As far as we know, Bert - although he shares their surname - is not related to any of the other Raccoons, so no relationship between Bert and Lisa would be incestuous.
