cut: The descendends of Ham, living in northern Africa, are called Hamites.

First, it's 'descendents' in English, but the sentence isn't worth revising.

Second, this sentence was believed in Europe before some date, I suppose, but it's being presented as a fact.

--regardless of it being "fact", HAM is a figure in hebrew literature. If you are NOT going to list Ham... you better get rid of the rest of them; Adam, Eve, Noah, Moses, etc...--

Yep, pretty appalling. But what should it be? Why cut it entirely without replacing it with at least something just as brief? --LMS (who won't, contrary to appearances, be at work today...)

The article Map makers linked to Ham, but Ham the map maker got cut out of the article. i.e. the link was broken.

Religious Figure as Fiction

The "literature" section I might go with, but a person in a religion should not be identified as "fiction" - I would no sooner call Ham fictional than I would Shiva (unless you mean the Shiva in Final Fantasy). --138.163.0.44 (talk) 19:15, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
