Is there a reason, why the viceroyalty of New Spain is not mentioned? To me this looks like writing about Kansas without mentioning, that it is in the United States. The political framework of the Spanish dominions in the new world seems to be missing completely. --h-stt !? 09:03, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

@H-stt: Well spotted. I have just added this, along with Captaincy General and intendancy status. -- Beland (talk) 20:23, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed accuracy[edit]

This article makes many claims without providing reliable sources to back them up. And in some of the cases when it does provide a source, the source does not support the text used in the article. After tagging many sentences with {{cn}}, a template such as {{disputed}} is better suited since there are so many instances of the same issue. —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 20:59, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This edit came up on my watchlist. After looking at the linked main article, I decided to revert it AGF, with an explanation mentioning the cite-supported snippet there saying, "Betances then suggested an outright island-wide rebellion, with a proclamation of independence as soon as possible. and mentions of WP:V and MOS:HEAD]]." When I tried the revert, I saw that this edit was the final one in a string of 17 edits. The changes ,ade by the other 16 can be seen here. I don't know enough about the topic to get into that, and I let it stand. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 23:37, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
