Untitled[edit]

What is it used for? Intrigue 23:17, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

It is not used for anything, it was a test of the non-inertness of Xe. More will be written for this soon.

Do we really need a warning about the pollution by this esoteric cmpd??? I propose to delete that.Smokefoot 04:06, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ChemBox[edit]

We probably dont want a ChemBox - the title compound does not exist. It is the name for a mess that was historically important but it is a mess, nonetheless. And as I tried to explain in the article, there is good reason to assume that Xe+[PtF6] is not real and never will be.--Smokefoot 22:27, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The chembox should be used if the molecule is real or possible! Here we dont need one!--Stone 06:14, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If the chembox were to stay, should it not read XePtF6 instead of PtF6Xe as xenon is a cation part of a cation? 129.78.64.102 (talk) 04:09, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First sentence[edit]

"Xenon hexafluoroplatinate is the description of the product from the first chemical reaction for a noble gas." Should probably say "first chemical reaction discovered" or something rather than just "first chemical reaction". I don't know anything about this subject but the sentence doesn't make much sense as it stands now. --Coppertwig 02:30, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing repetition[edit]

The article keeps saying that it was a compound, after which it says that it was a mixture, which happens in every section. It causes a lot of confusion for the reader who doesn't in the end understand if it was a compound or a mixture. --Anonymous —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.31.42.126 (talk) 20:07, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Krypton[edit]

Has anyone ever attempted to create Krypton Hexafluoroplatinate and if not why not and could it theoretically exist if anyone attempted to make it — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wizzlemuss McToot (talkcontribs) 20:06, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Date[edit]

When was the experiment conducted? it says it was the first compound with a noble gas but doesnt say when it was made. Cassie Schebel, almost a savant. <3 (talk) 15:13, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
