Article summary edits[edit]

I made edit en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?oldid=875159557, but it was reverted with the reason "Not helpful grammatically or logically: a culture can't have a conception." I disagree. A culture includes religion, beliefs, and worldview (as described in the wiki article on Culture), so it would definitely include conceptions in the sense of ideas or beliefs, as it is used in the article summary. My edit was intended to reflect that it is impossible to know for certain how any ancient individuals believed (barring them saying so, and we can have a hard enough time even if they do, due to varying interpretations of what they said), but we can more accurately refer to the general beliefs of the cultures surrounding the origins of the Bible. This article seems to describe those cultures' beliefs with a few references to Biblical passages more than it describes the cosmology within the Bible itself (which admittedly has a lot of various and even conflicting interpretations), so the summary should accurately indicate that. If there is a better phrasing than I used, then that would be fine. - 173.59.126.228 (talk) 04:14, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
