See also section needs an explanation[edit]

the see also section here lists the names of a few of the characters in the movies but those not explain that; furthermore, their names are linked to articles for the things the characters are named after and this makes no sense. for example, the section has entries for Chocolate mousse and Déjà vu and links to those articles, but it does not say anything about the fact that they are characters. as it is now, it is very confusing unless you have seen the movie.

i suggest that either an explanation is added and the section renamed or that its deleted althogether. --uri budnik 01:53, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Heh. "Déjà vu" should link back to the same page... --192.76.82.90 09:32, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Gough, who plays Dr. Paul Flammond and who is mentioned several times in the article text, does not appear on the list of characters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.12.163.47 (talk) 18:03, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nazis in Top Secret!?[edit]

As I disclosed in my edit summary I removed the part about East Germany being run by Nazis. They are communists, and welcome a Soviet opera singer to the cultural festival at the same time Nick Rivers is there. The French Resistance, while they did in reality fight the Nazis, I don't think is supposed to make sense in a literal historical way, but rather just for comic relief. The French Resistance was in France, after all, and not Germany, during WWII.

I believe that while the movie is ostensibly set in East Germany, the actual uniforms and stereotypes resemble those of Hollywood Nazis and Germans in WWII. So it's actually a mix of the two, Nazis and East German commies. There are even SS-like uniforms! 201.231.81.53 (talk) 05:44, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, it's definitely both. That's part of the joke. Here's a few links [1] [2] --AW (talk) 06:07, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Factual Error[edit]

The article claims O.J. to be in the movie. In the commentary on the dvd Zucker, Abrahams, Zucker reveal, that all black actors were British and had to be teached how to give a "high five". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.180.75.151 (talk) 11:43, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree. The statement is factually incorrect and the reference does not ever state that Simpson appears in this film. I've removed it. Justin Z (talk) 14:26, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Room for parodies list and/or links?[edit]

Is there room for a list of specific movies Top Secret parodies? "Elvis films" are mentioned, but what about, say, The Blue Lagoon? Pica Pusher (talk) 15:29, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
