Isn't exposure principally what you can die of in the cold? -- Tarquin

Yes, we need a top level entry for exposure and other entries for exposure (photographic), exposure (weather), exposure (radiation), perhaps even exposure (vacuum). I'd do it if I had more than a few hours of experience with this wiki thingy. Jeremy

I changed Perseus to Oedipus as an example of a Greek exposed child, because Perseus wasn't really abandoned by himself, but rather sent off with his mother (ok, so it was in a box...). I'm not too happy with Oedipus either, though, because he's not a hero. Does anybody know any better examples? Benji man

I have disambiguated almost all links pointing here. The remaining ones almost exclusively refer to the first meaning. I've added a link to hypothermia. Are there any other articles related to fatal exposure to the elements? - Magnus Holmgren 19:47, 29 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Organization[edit]

While an argument can be made for putting the medical section at the top, there's no reason for removing all the sections and subsections already on the page. I'd also like to point out that there's no specific article for exposure in that medical section, so putting it at the top is questionable. If someone is looking for the dictionary definition of the word, then they should check out the wiktionary, which is linked to in the upper right of the page. -- Fyrael (talk) 18:54, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine. A lot of editors don't like to see red links. For me, the red links are reminders about what articles still need to be developed. I was thinking along of epidemiology, in the instances where exposure to a pathogen increases the risk of developing disease. I'll get back to it later. I was careless in my removal of the other sections and am thankful that you caught it. Thank you.
