Number of passengers[edit]

Please determine how many "penumpang" is allowed on a traing and add the number to the paragraph if anyone cares...kindly delete this entry once that is added. --Malbear 02:51, 19 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Cite references[edit]

What's the source with regards to the extensions/new lines? Painkille 16:13, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added a citation for that section.--MrFishGo Fish 20:17, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sponsors?[edit]

I think the sponsors area is too much of an advertisement. I think we should delete that part. Tkuok shern 06:33, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Somehow I agree with you. --Bukhrin 08:39, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Titiwangsa stations[edit]

The Titiwangsa KL Monorail station and Sri Petaling and Ampang Line stations are next to each other and are almost at the same elevated level. However, pedestrian access between both stations require pedestrians to descend to the road level below before entering the other station.

I insist that this is not valid anymore because I've passed by the site of the two stations a few times and noticed that there is a bridge link between the stations. I have pictorial evidence at http://farm1.static.flickr.com/169/384192800_a3adb9bcd1_b.jpg — notice the bridge at the right of this picture of the LRT station. Though out of scope I know that the Monorail station is next to the LRT station in scope. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 203.176.147.72 (talk) 05:53, 12 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Inconsistent[edit]

It is currently described as both a "critical component" of the network, and "just for joyriding". Can't be both, can it? The tone of this article is snippy, which I don't think an encyclopedia need be. Some of the criticisms are naive at best - no doubt some of the supports are not entirely convenient, but there was a city in the way when it was built!. Likewise the positioning of the stations is not a free choice for planners or builders. Midgley 12:01, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, if the city planners changed Jalan Sultan Ismail into a one-way road after the monorail was designed, that is hardly the fault of the monorail. Anyway, it's not the only case where a dual carriageway road has been made one-way on both sides of the central reservation. Whether that is sensible or not has nothing to do with the monorail. I propose to remove the paragraph headed "Poor planning in construction of viaducts" unless somebody can produce a reference for this criticism having been published and justified in the media. Alarics (talk) 06:40, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if that paragraph was translated from the Malaysian Wikipedia or what, but it sure did not make any sense to me in English. On top of that it was unsourced critical bias. It's gone now.  æronphonehome  13:23, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Criticisms section does not cite sources, and I suspect that not all the information has a source. Comments?--MrFishGo Fish 17:20, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This Criticisms section is merely voice out the fact. I agree on Integration with other lines, Poor ergonomics and Expensive rides sections. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.121.171.229 (talk) 16:19, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Merely voicing out the facts" is not good enough. You may know these facts, but you have to find somewhere where these criticisms have been published in a reliable source. I have deleted some unsourced assertions that have been tagged for three years. There are several more claims that need sources. Those will also get deleted in due course, if somebody doesn't come up with proper citations. Alarics (talk) 13:31, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rename as "KL Monorail"[edit]

Based on their website, the official name of the monorail is "KL Monorail", not "Kuala Lumpur Monorail". The article should thus be moved. Jpatokal 11:34, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree... it should be moved. MS wikipedia has moved the article to KL Monorail aswell....--Zack2007 12:43, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Station(s) between Tun Sambathan and Hang Tuah[edit]

As we can see, there is the Maharajalela Monorail station between Tun Sambanthan Monorail station and Hang Tuah Monorail station. But I've seen an old transport map which shows that there were two stations, namely Sultan Sulaiman and Merdeka! Can anyone please explain? --אדמוןד ואודס自分の投稿記録 19:00, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"KL Monorail" to "Monorail Line"[edit]

Since the integration of KL Monorail into Rapid Rail, it is known as Monorail Line. This article should replace the name to portray the changes.Tafeax (talk) 22:57, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Archival ridership statistics for KL Monorail (2003-2008)[edit]

The new MOT website for quarterly rail ridership statistics is missing data from 2003-2008, and no Wikipedians have created a ridership table for the KL Monorail. Would be highly appreciated if someone could assist in finding data from this time period. HejTuWou (talk) 07:12, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
