Reign[edit]

...in late 3019 T.A. Aragorn was crowned as King Elessar... ...ruled the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor until 120 F.A. (3141 T.A.)... ...died at the age of 210, after 120 years of reign.

You know, that makes 122 years, not 120 – the last year of the Fourth Age was 3021. Or use the Third Age equivalent for 120 F.A. (3141–3019=122).

Editorializing[edit]

Towards the bottom: "Viggo Mortensen gave an outstanding[15] performance as Aragorn in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King". Edits[edit]

I have made a series of edits to the lead section, the background section, and the fictional biography. I have removed some excess detail and added some missing information that I hope will help make these sections clearer to readers who are not conversant with the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Many people and places were mentioned in these sections, and it was not always made clear who or what they were and what their significance was. EugeneMJ (talk) 11:55, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Some strange links?[edit]

This is overall a high-quality article. But I find some of the clickable-internal LINKS to be less than explicable. One outstanding example: Shouldn't the internal clickable Link "underneath" (as in hidden til mouseover on my rig) the words "ring of Barahir" actually link to a page or at least a section about the Ring of Barahir (It's a ring. Finrod Felagund, Elven King in the First Age and Friend of Man -- this is from the Silmarillion -- gave this ring to Beren Onehanded's father Barahir in a "first contact" situation, if you will, and it has passed over maybe seven thousand years to Aragorn.) Instead, the blue "ring of Barahir" link links to a long, possibly obscure wiki page about the Noldorin Elves in general. I don't know if it even ever gets around to telling of Finrod's giving of this ring, although he IS a Noldorin Elf, so it's not really "misfiled," it's just very badly, loosely, unproductively filed. Anyone? After I post this, I will look around for "Ring of Barahir" on Wikipedia, so I cann better suggest solutions.

I've added detail over at Noldor, so the redirect serves a little better. A lot of fan-level detail was deleted a few years ago; the surviving articles have much more in the way of encyclopedic content and citations to establish notability, which is certainly an improvement.
