Is the "Louis XIV are stalking me article" necessary? Can't we find something better? This seems to be unrelated to the band.

How is the band's name pronounced? "Louis the fourteenth"? "Louie Catorze"? "Louis Xiv"? The answer should be in the article. ^L_Wizard @ 05:06, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flash Gordon[edit]

The article states "In 2007, the band composed the theme for the new Flash Gordon television series for SCI FI." The song in question, "Flash", was actually composed by Brian May of Queen and theirs is a cover of that song (which was the main theme for the 1980 movie). The television series has a different opening/title theme and the Louis XIV song is played at the end and in promo spots (and possibly in the background during an action sequence in the pilot episode). Controversy?[edit]

"Another instance where the band was involved with controversy was their music being featured as the "lesbian theme" on the Fox television show the O.C. According to producer Josh Shwartz, the writers felt the band's music was a perfect way to frame the relationship of Alex and Marissa in any instance where they were seen kissing each other (taken from the DVD commentary of the episode "Rainy Day Women", Season 2)." - Okay...so where's the controversy? Does the band not want its music used in the context of homosexuality? Do the fans not like that? Do they think it's pandering too much to the lipstick lesbian thing? If the info is in the commentary for that episode, it should be made more clear. Self Titled Album[edit]

What about the band's first self titled album. It is now currently out of print but the track listing and singles are featured on the bands website, plus one of the songs "The Hall of Mirrors" is avalible for download on their purevolume site.

Breakup?[edit]

the article states that Louis XIV WAS a band and shows their years active as 2006-2009, yet there's no word on their breakup. generally band articles mention the who and why of a breakup if the band has one. food for thought. 108.12.101.129 (talk) 17:40, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reunion[edit]

A quick google search didn't give me any results but the band has gotten back together, my ears are still ringing from seeing them last night. All original members.
