How about, for naming Prince Philip and Prince Charles, given that they're rather especial cases, a preceeding space-character to cause them to appear on their own at the start of the list?

Removing the dead[edit]

What's the policy for this cat when a member dies (i.e. is it a cat of current members, or of those who have ever been members)? I was thinking particularly about Robin Cook, but there are bound to be more. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 10:11, August 9, 2005 (UTC)

It was supposed to be only for living members. Others can be identified by "The Right Honourable" before their names (or "PC" after their names if they're peers). Proteus (Talk) 10:44, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Category renaming controversy[edit]

I have recently renamed this category, closing the debate at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2006 June 28 to which three Wikipedians contributed a definite "yes". In the light of another Wikipedian's understandable consternation that we have people in this category who, it seems, were never members of the Privy Council of the United Kingdom, and of the above comments (that the category was created for current Privy Councillors only), perhaps some recasting is necessary. My two-penn'orth: what about a category "Privy Councils", and sub-categories for current Privy Councillors together with a sub-category for each historical Privy Council?
