Fan sites[edit]

Just in case you missed it: fan sites are just fine, and shouldn't have stopped Mega Man from being a featured article. See other featured articles like Doom and All your base are belong to us.

Granted, these must be within reason; we don't link to just ANY fan site, only the bigger and better ones, or ones with pertainent information. But THEY'RE OKAY. If they weren't, the aforementioned examples wouldn't have been made featured articles; but they were. --Shadow Hog 17:01, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)

So say that in response to the discussion already in progress at Talk:Mega Man. --Boco XLVII 02:10, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Alright, fine, although I've already had the last say in that disscussion (two times over, even) and things haven't changed much. --Shadow Hog 02:38, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)
I just thought I'd mention the possible localization problem regarding the main character's name ("Rock Volnutt" in Japan; "MegaMan Volnutt" in North America)

This entire page reads incredible biased, like it was written by a fan. I also feel the sound quality section to be incredibly redundant.

Was the Misadventures of Tron Bonne really a prequel to Megaman Legends? The Servbots in the game seemed to already know Megaman existed, and the only other indication of the order of the games was the Bonnes' relationship with Glyde. Given that Glyde treated the Bonnes with slightly more respect in Megaman Legends 2, it would seem that the Misadventures went somewhere between 1 and 2.

Yes. Upon finishing MOTB, the game will show artwork that reads "Story Continues in MegaMan Legends", which clearly confirms that MOTB is the prequel of MegaMan Legends. 76.177.160.69 (talk) 02:09, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the "Voice Quality" section because it sounded incredibly biased against English-language voice acting, and was not befitting a proper encyclopedia article. I would like to request that someone could place a list of voice actors (both English and Japanese) in its place as an alternative.

Spoilers[edit]

Uhm, I don't really know how to edit it in, but you guys really need to put a spoiler tag over the plot and timeline sections. I don't know who Giro is, but I didn't need to know that he died in ZX, as I was planning on playing it. Vespertilio 05:38, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It Doesn't really matter, he dies very early in the game, basically at the start. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.126.12.152 (talk) 14:52, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Legends and the Megaman Timeline" requires massive trimming[edit]

The only sentence in the entire section that is confirmable in any way is the first one; the entire rest of the paragraph is nothing but speculation, and rather desperate speculation at that. Outlining every instance of a red circle in the other Megaman games and describing in a convoluted way how they could possibly be related to robots in Legends is, to say the least, not encyclopedic. The entire second paragraph and the entire fourth paragraph need to go, and the rest could definitely use a good pruning and rewriting. If these edits aren't done in a few days, I'll probably come back and do them myself, but I'll give the dedicated Legends fans a chance to give their input on the matter first. 65.33.77.114 05:33, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Granted. Until somebody can can improve the second paragraph, its out. I merged fourth paragraph with the beginning. One more thing, I haven't played ZX so would someone correct me if the "Project Heaven" bit was slightly wrong. Keiji Dragon 06:42, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your edits look great, thanks. I played ZX and didn't see any mention of "Project Heaven", it could've been in a background or something, though, so I'll leave that be. A note about the large first paragraph is that red mono-eyes witnessed throughout the Zero and ZX series are not necessarily directly connected to Reaverbots, as the red mono-eye has been a staple of the Megaman series and has appeared in every series except Battle Network and Star Force, usually on humanoid non-boss enemies. Not to say that it isn't still a connection, but it could probably be simplified. The mention of a crystal in the Zero series resembling a Quantum Refractor may be more directly related, however, as "Energen Crystals" are used for power from the middle of the X series onward (Crystal Snail's level in Megaman X2 was supposedly an Energen mine), and may be related to the crystal-like Quantum Reflectors. 65.33.77.114 18:01, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MEGAMAN IS NAMED ROCK IN THE AMERICAN MEGAMAN SERIES[edit]

I RECALL IN MEGAMAN 4 IT SAID SOMETHING TO THE EXTENT 'HOUSECLEANING ROBOTS ROCK AND ROLL' WHICH AT THE TIME I THOUGHT IT MEANT HOUSECLEANING ROBOTS ROCK AND ROLLED —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.17.249 (talk) 06:07, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sales Figures[edit]

Out of curiosity, are there any sales figures out there that would support Inafune's statement about the series not selling well? I don't doubt the validity of his claim (he of all people would know such a thing), but it would help give context as to why Capcom would be reluctant to create a Legends 3 game.
