US BILLBOARD 200 Weeks[edit]

The Album spent a total 21 Weeks on the billboard 200 album charts. Mind that in 1991 sales were much higher and even it reached only #65 it spent 21 weeks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.204.135.159 (talk) 13:36, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sold copies of the album[edit]

the album was sold more than 358,000 copies according to Nielsen Soundscan. I have seen the number of more than 300,000 on several other sources like Biographies of the band

Mind that Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991 and that they sold at least 358,000 copies. But under 500,000 copies because it was never certified Gold— Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.204.135.159 (talk) 14:10, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That is interesting. A shorter version of that article is available on the site of Entertainment Weekly here. The fan site doesn't show that it has permission to reproduce the article and therefore it shouldn't be used as a link per WP:COPYLINK. I've removed the link as it could be considered to be contributory infringement.
Spin magazine, issue April 1992 (the one with the Sex Pistols on the cover), page 22, article titled "Kiss Them For Me" by Alison Powell, says that "Superstition nearly brought the band its first gold record" in the US. (one can read it and find it on google books). Carliertwo (talk) 00:56, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR Help

358,000 sold copies is not bad. Oh thats short away of GOLD CERTIFICATION thats true because at that time there have been CLUB SALES and for example 470,000 copies were shipped to the retail but it sold just 400,000

hmmm who knows — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.204.139.32 (talk) 17:46, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
