Biggest port confusion[edit]

I've been doing some research for a project, and found conflicting statements relating to Mexico's largest ports:

  • Transport in Mexico: "Tampico, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz, Veracruz, on the Gulf of Mexico, are Mexico's two primary seaports."
  • Manzanillo, Colima: "In 2004 the port of Manzanillo surpassed Veracruz as Mexico's largest port per volume of cargo."
  • Mazatlán: "Mazatlán, ... is the second-largest city in the state (after Culiacán) and Mexico's largest commercial port."

Can we get some consitency with these statements? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.89.156.172 (talk) 07:47, 16 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Remerge[edit]

Given that communications in Mexico covers both transportation and telecommunications, and are both coordinated by the same Secretariat or Executive Ministry, I strongly believe that the articles should be merged once again. Articles regarding Mexico do not need to follow the same pattern as those of the United States. The move was rather unilateral, with no previous discussion, even after my first reversion. --the Dúnadan 01:40, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
