Untitled[edit]

I recommend splitting off the Corcoran College of Art and Design page. I know of at least two (now three!) red links to it. Dystopos 14:51, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

User 24.131.75.234 just added the claim that the museum was cofounded by a "Timothy Ian Corcoran". Timothy is mentioned nowhere else on Wikipedia and in fact a Google search turns up not a single result for his name. User 24.131.75.234 has never made any other edits and this looks a bit like vandalism to me, so I'm removing it. My apologies if he actually exists, but there's no evidence that he does.

The Corcoran Biennials[edit]

I was looking for more information about the Corcoran Biennials, which I believe Corcoran Gallery of Art was the first U.S. museum to host a Biennial. If anyone has more information with RS citations, please help edit this. Joojay (talk) 13:11, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This catalogue from the National Gallery highlights the history of the Corcoran Biennials and one of the essays says the Corcoran's first Biennial in 1907 was "one of the earliest and most progressive of our nation's biennial exhibitions." So maybe not the first U.S. museum to mount a biennial. That said, there's some good info in there that might benefit this article. There's also this Washington Post review of the 45th biennial that has a bit of history/color around the first one. —Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 13:22, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
