Use in PTSD[edit]
While I have great respect for the work done by Cochrane, I have seen far too many patients improve with PTSD symptoms especially if they have co-occurring bipolar disorder. The avoidance doesn't usually improve, but the irritability, impulsivity, and anger/hyper-arousal usually improve. Sleep disturb % is misstated.[edit]
Not, "However, a retrospective study of 109 patients' medical records found that 6.7% of patients experienced an "alerting effect" resulting in intolerable insomnia, for which the treatment had to be discontinued. (65)"
It's only 6.4%.
