History[edit]

Centralite Systems[edit]

In July 2019, Ezlo Innovation acquired Centralite Systems, an Alabama-based manufacturer of smart home devices. This acquisition aimed to broaden Ezlo's product portfolio and support its goal of becoming a technology-agnostic platform, capable of connecting various smart home devices.[4]

Previous Acquisitions[edit]

Prior to acquiring Centralite, Ezlo made two notable acquisitions in 2018. In August, Ezlo acquired MiOS, a developer of smart home services platforms and the Vera line of consumer products. This acquisition provided Ezlo with a robust smart home management platform. In October, Ezlo acquired Fortrezz, a company known for intelligent leak detection and flood prevention solutions. These acquisitions were part of Ezlo's strategy to offer comprehensive smart home solutions and enhance its market presence.[5]

Strategic Impact[edit]

The acquisitions of Centralite, MiOS, and Fortrezz have significantly strengthened Ezlo's position in the nearly $40 billion U.S. smart home market. By integrating these companies' technologies and products, Ezlo aims to provide consumers with a wider range of smart home options.[6]
