Is it necessary to have a parallel category by language? — Instantnood 16:51, July 30, 2005 (UTC)

"English model" should be generally applied[edit]

It seems that we have a very good solution here but that solution is not generally applied, and because of that we have a total mess in many categories and subcategories. The main cause of that problem lies in the use of ambiguous adjective-style category titles. That problem is wisely avoided in the case of Category:English literature. That ambiguous adjective-style tile is properly used as a disambiguation category. Same solution should be applied in all cases where an adjective designates both the country and the language. In those cases, all categories for literature of particular countries should be styled according to the Category:Literature of England model, while categories for literature written in particular languages should be styled according to the Category:English-language literature model.
