About me

I doubt that I will ever become a wikipedia addict, I simply do not have the time. However, I enjoy making a contribution when I can.

I am especially fussy about the difference between primary and secondary sources, and proper information retrieval. I like the learning process here and the freedom to find different topics that may need a helping hand to do cosmetic editing for clarity and professional tone. I also enjoy rummaging on the web for factual links that may be helpful in an article.

All things being equal, I prefer to notify prior to making editing changes on a user's work. It seems polite and the proper thing to do.

Fact-checking my fact-checking

• Sylvester Graham Style tweak, fact-checked, added both external links and references.
• John Money Added external links to this extraordinarily well-researched article. Made stylistic tweaks, as well. Some of the paragraphs were a bit convoluted, after so many contributors added this or that. It happens.
• Category: Colonial Indian companies very distressing. Added links to British East India Company, then realized that all of the India Companies were missing references! Not my field of expertise, I'm afraid. Doing what I can to help & research this properly. Not a bad experience, overall. It's amazing what one can learn on Wikipedia by chipping in to help a project of this magnitude along!
