List of movies was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. A list of movies, with entries in Wikipedia. Apart from being self-referential in nature, this article is also doing the categories' job and can now be safely deleted. Don't get me wrong, I don't want all lists to be deleted, just the ones that are lists of articles which is exactly what a category should be doing. Wyllium 08:31, 2004 Nov 16 (UTC)
EDIT: I nominated this article solely because it by its own admission it is simply a list of already existing articles. If it isn't, if it also includes items that don't have their own article (yet), it should be kept, because then it acts like a "to-do-list" for future articles. Wyllium 07:19, 2004 Nov 17 (UTC)

- Strong keep First off, the sublists of this list do contain red-link. Second off, the category system for movies is not this comprehensive yet. This is a good central list for all the "movies set in..." lists and such. Until the category tree for all the movies in this list is updated it should be kept for sure. Deleting the list at this time would make it harder to browse wikipedia and to keep track of needed articles. —siroχo 00:15, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)

- Keep but Delete as soon as the category has the same information in it. Badly formed information should be fixed or moved not deleted. Perhaps some kind of a tag for "Lists that should be categorized" ? —Florescentbulb 01:58, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
