Opusaug is an infrequent editor of Wikipedia entries, with specialized knowledge of computer technology, American and military history, and certain bizarre cultural traditions of the late-20th century.

The name Opusaug is a portmanteau of "Opus Augustus", which the author first used as a BBS login in the 1990's. Opus is a reference to the cartoon character of Bloom County fame, while Augustus was the name of the first true Roman Emperor. (The construction is a pun arising from the fact that the cartoon character may be an emperor penguin.) In the past, Opusaug has been chided for appearing too much like his namesake, especially when he attempts to walk on two legs in the morning hours.
