Sorry I reverted your changes to Belgium. They were technically correct, but misleading. When speaking of Brussels, one generally does not speak of The City of Brussels, but the Brussels-Capital Region. At least that's what the articles tell me, and I'm inclined to bow to inertia. I don't have much personal experience with Belgium.

For a similar situation, see City of London, which has a population of only 7,200. London, which encompasses the city and more, has a population a thousand times that.

If you disagree with my interpretation, feel free to justify yourself on Talk:Belgium. -- Cyrius| 08:12, 8 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Escut de Begur (petit).png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Escut de Begur (petit).png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 19:51, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

File:MeerhoutLocatie.png needs authorship information[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:MeerhoutLocatie.png appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Rikboven}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:36, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:MeerhoutLocatie.png missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 08:41, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:MeerhoutLocatie.png[edit]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:22, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
