Hello there Asilvahalo, welcome to the 'pedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you need pointers on how we title pages visit Wikipedia:Naming conventions or how to format them visit our manual of style. If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Village pump. BTW, nice work on the Greek play articles. Our Classics section could use some TLC. Cheers! --maveric149

Good to see another LiveJournal user -- maybe you could help me with that article! -- Sam

I added a bit to the LiveJournal entry about it being open source, and other communities that use the same source code. The problem being that they're all so unstable that most of the ones I knew of are now defunct. Oops. --asilvahalo
Cool! I just edited it a bit & removed the bit about "sense of community" because it doesn't really seem NPOV. We can argue about that, if you like, or get a better wording or something :) And by the way, the first edit you did was marked as minor, but I wouldn't say it was. It's difficult, because there are no set rules as to what constitutes a minor edit, but I think most agree that any new sentences or edits that add to or change the article are not minor -- minor edits are just format tweaks, spelling corrections and the like. It's all up for debate, of course, but that's how I see it. Hope you settle in! --Sam
See, I think most people (at least the ones I know) join LiveJournal because their friends are on it, and it's another way of communicating with them. Therefore, a more used, and therefore standard, site would tend to gain more new users because they'd be more likely to know people who are already users. That's what I mean by "sense of community." Since fewer people already use DeadJournal and uJournal, fewer people will begin to use those services as well. --asilvahalo

I would like to say that I'm not the only one who thinks I'm dating you. You do too! -- Xoder

You never know. We could always be wrong. --asilvahalo

Hi, Silvahalo! Had to drop by when I saw your username. I've been expanding the Duran articles; come take a look when you get a moment. Catherine 09:42 Mar 7, 2003 (UTC) (aka artslave aka miztimeline)

A tag has been placed on DeadJournal, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:DeadJournal. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RJASE1 Talk 04:12, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I went ahead and placed a {{hangon}} on the page. If you have information to assist me in asserting its notability, please do so on Talk:DeadJournal. --Strangerer (Talk) 04:32, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
