Your article on Gant looks interesting; do let me know when it's ready. DS (talk) 14:45, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:MBlackstone. People with close connections to a subject are generally discouraged from editing it directly (see WP:COI). You are most welcome to post to the entry's talkpage. It's an interesting subject and worthy of expansion. I am pretty low on the Wikipedia totem pole so someone like User:BD2412 might be better able to answer any questions you have and steer you in the right direction. Take care and thanks for your great work!

In trying to connect some of the dots, I started Draft:P. H. Updike. Do you onow what P. H. stands for? FloridaArmy (talk) 15:24, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I reposted your comment on my talkpage to the article's talkpage for posterity and so others can see it and consider the best way forward. FloridaArmy (talk) 15:25, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Per User:BD2412 who replied on my talkpage "I think a long-dead great-grandfather is remote enough to not be considered a close connection. I assume that there will be no personal financial benefit to be gained from writing such an article, though I would caution to focus on using third-party sources for proof of notability."

So edit away! One option would be to request a "histmerge" to combine the entries so the history of your earlier created entry is retained. I would have expanded on it if I had seen it when I created the newer entry. Please let me know if you have any other questions or I cak be of any assistance. All the best.
