On what source do you base this list? It surprises me that I have never heard of a Norwegian kingdom by the same name as Sweden before. I will wait a week or so and allow you to give references before I make this page into a redirect to a page on Swedish kings.--Wiglaf 17:39, 10 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Someone had already put a listing for Kings of Svitjod in the List of Office-Holders, but did not create a page on the subject.

There are a number of disparate sources of semi-legendary information, but the one I have used is sourced from http://www.hostkingdom.net/scand.html

I see. That page is very impressive, but the creator does not know much about Scandinavian history. I really wonder from where he got his detailed information. It makes no sense that a Norwegian petty kingdom would have the same name as Sweden in Old Norse. I have no objection at all - I am not an expert specifically in Scandinavian history (whereas your signature indicates that you may well be), but have a general interest in studying listings of rulers around the world from antiquity to the present day. Naturally I do appreciate that the nature and boundaries (as we perceive them) of the early Scandinavian states was of course more nebulous at the time under discussion than it has since become. It is important to ascertain such corroboration as may be (or become) available. And it is always a benefit where editors can work together combining their knowledge and findings.

I am just a Swede who likes language history, ancient Scandinavian history and mythology. I have checked the names of the people but I can find no confirmation that they were kings, nor that they were kings of Svitjod.
