En passant image[edit]

Hi. Thanks for the image at en passant, but unfortauntely it's incorrect; see my comment at Talk:en passant. Could you remake it with the white pawn in the right place? It would be very useful if so. Thanks--Camembert

antsmarching.org @ Dave Matthews Band[edit]

Was wondering why you deleted the external link to antsmarching.org from Dave Matthews Band. There was no explanation in the edit summary or Discussion, so just wondering. Thanks. Bbatsell 03:13, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • Thanks! Was wondering if it was just accidental since the removal from Dave Matthews made sense to me. Bbatsell 06:06, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:VictorWootenYinYangCover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VictorWootenYinYangCover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:46, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:Moved oldname[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Moved oldname requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 22:02, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BFFTGreatestHitsCover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BFFTGreatestHitsCover.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:54, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for help re: FSU uniforms[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Florida_State_Seminoles_football#Uniform_Combinations There is debate about whether to show every possible combination of FSU uniforms or just the ones that have been used. Basically this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fsuunis.jpg versus this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ACC-Uniform-combination-FSU.PNG User Kevin W claims that he is seeking "uniformity" with other college football pages that show every possibly combination, without regard for their actual use. I disagree. Why show combinations that have not and will not be used? I remember you being a contributor to the page and I am asking for more input and help as others are now agreeing with me but Kevin won't stop. Thanks.AriGold (talk) 20:19, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:DMDD45.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:DMDD45.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 07:03, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of André Thomas[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is André Thomas. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/André Thomas. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Yogurtlandlogo.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Yogurtlandlogo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Because you used a fair use rationale with your upload, the recommended copyright tag is {{non-free logo}}. Please add this to the image and remove the speedy delete template ({{di-no license}}).

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 18:58, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Yogurtlandlogo.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Yogurtlandlogo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 21:51, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yogurtland[edit]

Hi, I saw your note at WP:DRV and looked at your current draft at User:TrbleClef/Yogurtland. I would be inclined to agree with you that this chain may now qualify as notable, but I don't think your draft makes that case yet. Have you read WP:ORG? Ideally, your article would distill information about the company's history, business strategy, and customer reaction as reported in multiple reliable independent secondary sources. The company's website plus one very brief, almost-press-release mention in an industry newsletter will probably not be enough to make the case for notability. Also, I don't think there's a reason to list every flavor. However, I do think that the sources are out there. I'd suggest you take a look at the Google News Archive search results[1] and pick out some of the more informative pieces, for example this one reprinted at Entrepreneur[2] as well as others (such as this[3]) that identify Yogurtland as a significant player in frozen yogurt along with Pinkberry and Red Mango. I do think a successful article can be made here; good luck, and don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions--Arxiloxos (talk) 22:20, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello....might you kindly answer a music question?[edit]

Hi there. I saw you had contributed to the discussion on the TIME SIGNATURES page, and I have a music question that's bugging me.

Having worked as a performer, I know a little about music but can't read it. For SOME reason this week, I was thinking how much I like the Roberta Flack version of "The First Time Ever I saw Your Face" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JWAmF-Z4r4) and then was trying to sing along with it, and I was getting lost with how the vocals fit into the rhythm. What is the time signature for that arrangement? Is it 4/4? That seems like the easiest to tap out...but then the vocals come in on a confusing off-beat, and there's sometimes a lag, even when tapping out a 4/4 beat. Is this just because the singer is "freely" interpreting it, and just kind of meandering along (in a very pleasant way)? I guess there's nothing to stop lyrics from beginning further in a bar of music...are there rests in there? The more I listen to this and think about it, the more confused I'm getting. If you have any thoughts that might help explain how this piece of music is set up, I WOULD APPRECIATE HEARING THEM  : ) Please put me out of my misery! Have a nice afternoon!
